|Calendar - September 20, 2003|
We will be participating again this year at the 9th Annual Community Dinner on Saturday, September 20, from 1 PM - 8 PM. The Community Dinner benefits all Ridgecrest non-profit organizations who choose to participate. There will be food, entertainment, and each organization will have a display booth.
The theme for the booth (and the feature article in the September newsletter) will be "Evolution Exposé".
We hope those of you who live in the Ridgecrest area will attend the dinner, bring some friends, visit the booth, and (of course) purchase your $10 tickets from us. Community Dinner ticket sales allow us to keep our annual membership dues to $15 per year. (Call 375-3089 and ask us to bring the tickets to your home.)
The six days following the Community Dinner will be a special “Creation Week.” Sunday through Thursday we will present our Evolution Exposé seminar. Since we hope to have many people attend, and since we need room to perform experiments, and we need special video projection equipment, we will be meeting at the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The Friday night of that week is a Fourth Friday, so we will be back at our usual place (the Library) at the usual time (7:30 PM) to show Dr. David Menton’s video, “Lucy, She’s No Lady”.
